Rylie MacKinnon is an Associate Attorney in the Morgan, Akins & Jackson Nashville, Tennessee office where she focuses on general litigation and workers’ compensation defense. Rylie is from just outside of Asheville, North Carolina.
Rylie earned her undergraduate degree in Public Relations at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, before earning her J.D. at Belmont University College of Law. While at Belmont University College of Law, Rylie received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Mediation and Family Law Practicum. Additionally, Rylie was a member of the Criminal Law Journal, where her note was chosen for publication in the 2024 Belmont Criminal Law Journal V, titled “Mandatory Minimums & Plea Bargains: “Go Directly to Jail. Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $200”. While earning her law degree, Rylie worked as the law clerk for the Morgan, Akins & Jackson Nashville office throughout all three years of law school, where she gained valuable experience.
In her free time, Rylie enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their two golden retrievers, Sutton and Blue.
