Richard “Trace” Bandel is an Associate Attorney in the Morgan & Akins Nashville, Tennessee office where he focuses on general litigation. He was born in Nashville and has lived here most of his life.

Trace earned his undergraduate degree in Recording Industry Management at Middle Tennessee State University before earning his J.D. at Belmont College of Law where he focused on litigation and entertainment law. During law school, he pursued a broad range of internships including the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands and pursuing legislative initiatives for The Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Following law school Trace clerked for Judge Royce Taylor in Rutherford County and Judge Joe P. Binkley, Jr. in Davidson County.

Trace has had years of experience handling complex matters of civil litigation in Tennessee, including property, business, and personal injury disputes.

In his free time, Trace enjoys hiking and camping all over Tennessee with his dog, Thor.
