Daniel E. Cohen proudly joins Morgan, Akins & Jackson as partner in the Atlanta office. Dan brings over 30 years’ experience of representing Employers and Insurers in workers compensation claims in Georgia. His experience has resulted in him forging longstanding relationships in numerous fields including the restaurant industry, construction, pharmaceutical, warehouse and professional sports.

Dan was born in Lawrence, Kansas but grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. He has been a resident of Atlanta since attending Emory University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989 and, later, he received his Juris Doctor from Emory in 1992.

Coming from a firm he helped run for almost 20 years at Donahue & Cohen, LLC whose practice closed in August 2025, Dan brings a unique perspective as a former small business owner to his practice of law. This perspective has allowed Dan to develop defense strategies with many of his clients in a manner which has resulted in developing their trust and confidence. More importantly, Dan’s success was built on a work ethic which focuses on client communications and consistently obtaining excellent results.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, Sabra, playing numerous sports, and following the Tennessee Vols.
