Nicholas D. Maxymuik is a Senior Attorney of the Philadelphia office of Morgan & Akins, PLLC. As a former claims adjuster for Harleysville Insurance Company, he was working full time while attending the evening division of Widener University School of Law for four years, Nicholas’s practical work experience, coupled with his 25 plus years practicing civil litigation, in both defense and plaintiff personal injury, has provided him a unique perspective on litigating and settling cases. In addition, Nicholas has significant experience in handling estate work. He strongly believes that personal contact between an attorney and client is instrumental in obtaining effective and strategic representation.

Nicholas is an active trial attorney who understands that detailed deposition preparation, coupled with aggressive cross examination of witnesses often force opposing counsel to reevaluate their liability and damage positions downward. He practices in the area of premises liability, having represented some of the largest and local shopping mall owners and commercial maintenance companies. He also practices in the field of motor vehicle, bad faith, trucking and estate matters. Nicholas has conducted seminars educating claims adjusters to proactively handle their cases to promote prompt settlement and avoidance of bad faith litigation. He believes in utilizing alternative dispute resolution forums such as mediation, which often save clients additional legal expenses while working with opposing counsel to resolve disputes.
